Every weekend the kids ‘request’ a breakfast treat. This weekend I made banana french toast, they did make complimentary ‘non’ sounds when they ate so I guess the silence mean’t it was edible after all 🙂
Bread slices, 1 cup milk, 1 egg, 1 teaspoon sugar, bananas, maple syrup and homemade strawberry sauce if you have it on hand.
Mix the milk, egg and sugar together in a flat bowl. Dip the bread slices in and cook in a hot buttered pan until brown, flip over and brown the other side. Transfer to plates. Cook the bananas in the same pan, adding some maple syrup to coat, serve on top of the french toast.
